Track your reef's special parameters for free!
Water Parameters:
Reef-track.com was started as a simple website to keep track of water parameters and photos(coming soon!) for my various saltwater reef tanks. Due to the high maintenance of saltwater tanks, it's very important to keep water parameters inline to insure that you do not run into large issues such as algae, or whole tank crashes. I've built a simple database to keep track of this information, for as many tanks as I wanted or needed, and figured, hey why not let others use it? So I built it to be multiple user friendly, and this is the result.
All the water parameters needed to be tested are included, and will eventually the entries will be color coded with ranges, i.e. if your water's temperature is too high, the value is red, if it's a little too high, it's yellow, otherwise normal text. This allows for quick spotting or out of range parameters and helps you keep an eye on the history of the parameters as is quite often a good thing to see.
Water Changes:
Another important aspect of maintaning saltwater or reef tanks is water changes, which should be done 10% per week, or 20% every two weeks. While there is a lot of argument on how often this is needed, it always guarantees that you are replacing vital nutrients in the water which are depleted by coral or fish. Keeping an eye on the history of water changes, as well as the history of your water parameters give you two very good indicators of how to adust to your system.
Photo Hosting:
Currently in developement is photo hosting on a per tank basis. This means all your photos pertaining to a specific tank can be kept together, allowing you to track growth and changes. This also allows you to share photos with your friends and other reefers.
Tank Blog:
Currently in developement as well, this will allow you to share information on how your tank is doing, as well as allow you to keep notes on various aspects of reef keeping, etc.
